To download or share a list with a colleague or a client, use the "Export" option:
- Make sure that you have already built the list. Or load a "Saved Search".
- As soon as you have your results, click the "Export" button on the right side.
Choosing an Export Type
When you export a list, you may be presented with two options, depending on your subscription.
This window will also display your remaining monthly exports; the quotas refresh on a monthly basis.
1. Mailing List Export
A mailing list export provides you with a list of properties and their mailing addresses. This is a useful feature for mailing to recipients based on their occupancy status. There are four options for exporting a list:
☑ Exclude owners without addresses
This feature ensures that you only download results that have the owner's address included. Sometimes, we don't have the owner's residence listed within our database.
☑ Owner occupied
This option includes properties in which the owner is also registered as the resident.
☑ Non-owner occupied
This choice includes properties with absentee owners (or tenants). In this case, you'll receive two addresses: one for the property from your search (in order to reach the tenant; labeled as "Current Occupant") and another for the mailing address of the owner, which will be different from that in your search result.
☑ Include properties without ownership data
This selection includes properties that don't have any ownership information.
Select multiple options to create a combination of all matching results.
2. Real Owners Export
If you have the Platinum subscription or the Real Owners add-on, you can export lists of properties that contain PropertyShark's manually researched ownership information for LLC-owned properties. These lists include:
- Owner phone numbers
- Owner addresses and ZIP codes
- Owner email addresses (when available)
- Occupancy status
Excel or PDF?
You can export results as an Excel file or a pre-formatted PDF ready to print on Avery 5160 Labels.
Once you download the PDF, you will no longer be able to edit or modify the file, as opposed to the Excel file in which you can edit or modify the content. Additionally, you will need a PDF reader to view PDF files and Microsoft Excel or another application to open .xlsx files.
Excel files also include the following:
- Property addresses and ZIP codes
- Owner names
- Owner addresses
- Occupancy status
- Property class
- Building square feet*
- Total units*
- Year built*
- Land area*
- Construction pipeline*
- Distress status*
- Sale date and price*
- A link to the full report
*Some counties do not record this information in a form in which we can import into our database. Therefore, some pieces of information may not be included in the exported file.
