Foreclosure Search
1. From the home page, click on “Foreclosures” and select “Foreclosures” again from the drop-down menu:
2. A new page will open with all of the properties currently in foreclosure. To the left of the results, there’s an advanced search you can use to filter out properties by specifying certain regions and additional criteria.
3. When you’ve selected your criteria, press the “Search” button to apply them. You’ll need to do this every time you change your criteria.
Additional information you can find in our foreclosures section includes:
- Auction date, time and location
- Lien amount
- Date added to PropertyShark
- Plaintiff and defendant
- Judgment, index number and the type of foreclosure
- Previously scheduled (if applicable)
For more information on a property, click on the property address. Doing so will open the full report, where you can find ownership details and run comparables searches.
How can I print selected foreclosure results?
- Check the box next to "Select for printing" for each listing you want to print.
- Click the "Print selected" button at the top.
- Print the selected listings.
How can I find all scheduled foreclosure auctions by day or month?
- Click the "Calendar view" button at the top.
- Click the link in a date box to see all of the auctions scheduled for that day.
- Select a different month from the "Show" box in the advanced search.
How can I see if a property is in foreclosure directly from the report?
- Click on the "Documents" tab.
- Look in the “Foreclosures” and “Liens” sections to see if there is any recent information, such as an auction date or a lis pendens.
- If a property is in foreclosure, it will have a flag above the property address.
Note: the "Foreclosure" flag will be displayed until the date of the auction. Once the auction is complete or postponed, the flag will be removed.
